I will site a few studies below but there are many studies that have shown these effects with BCAA supplementation. If you look at other studies you will see that BCAA supplements aren't for helping you get bigger or stronger directly but instead indirectly by helping you recover more quickly. The focus of all the information cited in that article is stating basically that there are no benefits to muscle/strength gains due to BCAA use, and to that I agree but that isn't the point.
